This has got to be the place Spoon thought as he drove up to the large house. The young masked man parked and looked up at the building, then the small piece of paper that he had jotted down the description of the home Akeelah had given him to look for. It was kind of funny trying to get the information about the family Akeelah had asked him to help her contact. The shifter, having never really used a phone before didn’t know the household’s phone number, having never driven to the place couldn’t give any directions from his house and theirs, and to top it all off she wasn’t one hundred percent sure that she knew the address. But she was so determined to get a hold of them that Spoon was hard pressed to tell her to forget it. He would have felt bad about saying no to her. It wasn’t like the shapeshifter chick left and didn’t bother to remember this stuff; she had gotten into a bad accident, and immediately after that had been taken out of her hospital bed and hidden away in a house full of strangers for months with no contact with the outside world.
It had to suck not being able to see your friends for months, even if it was to live with some pretty awesome dudes. Despite all of Spoon’s and Nova’s efforts to keep her happy Akeelah still missed her old friends. So to make up for it Spoon had promised to tell the people she had left behind what had happened. It wouldn’t be an easy task though…even with what the girl told him to tell Rose and the others what would he say? How would he try to explain this? “Hi there, you don’t know me but I have been one of the guys that were hiding your friend away from you!” didn’t have a nice ring to it. He had spent most of the ride to the place trying to think of a way to explain this, and by the end of the ride scrapping every possible speech he could make. Screw it! Spoon didn’t need a plan. Plans were for silly people that thought too much. He was the spontaneous type, he just had to go up there and wing it. It worked well enough for him in the past and it would work for him now.
Spoon took a slow, deep breath before hopping out of his car and walking up the front door. He hummed to himself, trying to calm his nerves a little more before he rang the doorbell a few times. Well…here goes nothing…

It was an ordinary day for Rose, or rather, as ordinary as it could be for her. She had spent a great deal or her day watching over the kids while they played, and watching over Violet to make sure neither Malakor or Arganok were bugging her too much. Weylyn had been assisting in watching the kids, which was rather helpful for Rose. The Nephilim girl had wandered into the kitchen, contemplating what to make for the kids and if she should make something for every one else. This whole family was rather chaotic, and they always wanted different thing. Most of the time Rose just let them fend for themselves, which was a rather dangerous thing seeing as between Malakor and Weylyn, they knew very little in preparing their own meals, and they ended up making ridiculous messes in the kitchen.
Rose chuckled to herself at the mere thought of Weylyn and Malakor preparing their meals, and it made her remember the time when Akeelah lived here. She frowned then. How long had it been since Akeelah vanished off the face of the earth? Rose had lost track of time. She looked and looked for the shapeshifter, and even had most of the family looking for her as well. The Nephilim worried over the girl constantly, and hoped that where ever she was at, that she was safe and sound.
Just then, the doorbell rang a couple of times, and Rose looked up from the counter top and towards the door. She wondered who it could be at this time. Maybe Geikitsu stopped for a visit, or even her own father, whom loved to drop by unannounced from time to time. Rose strode from the kitchen and towards the front door. She opened it to reveal a man in a horse mask standing on her front steps. Rose's eyes flashed a little warily, feeling rather confused.
"Um, hello. Is there something I can help you with?" She asked, putting on a polite smile.

What Spoon had come here to do might end up being the most awkward thing he ever had to do. That was saying a lot coming from the guy who thought it was a good idea to run around town in a mask all the time. But hey, this was a serious matter. It wasn’t like it was work serious, his career as an awesome secret agent wasn’t in jeopardy if he didn’t do this right, but he had made a promise to help a friend out so this was kind of a big deal. How would he handle this though? That much he had no fricken clue. Spoon had never met anyone in the Styler family before so he didn’t know them personally; they would no doubt be very confused as to why some random dude was coming over to talk to them. Did they even know that the PIDA existed? How was he going to explain that he was one of the people that had been keeping their shapeshifter friend away from them? The last thing he wanted was to make Akeelah’s friends freak out on him for that. He didn’t know how he would go about that in a nice way to make them understand that he wasn’t the bad guy, but he would just go in there and give it a shot. It wouldn’t hurt right?
Well he was about to find that out soon enough. Taking a deep breath Spoon readied himself and rang the doorbell and waited. It didn’t take long for someone to answer. The woman who answered the door had to be the friend that Akeelah had been talking about. Naturally she seemed pretty confused when she spotted him but seemed pretty friendly when she talked to him, at least things didn’t get all messed up right at the start. “Hi there.” Spoon waved at the woman cheerfully before extending his arm out to shake her hand. “I’m Spoon. It’s nice to meet you!” What little nervousness in the masked man seemed to vanish on the spot. That always happened once he got started talking. Spoon was just naturally friendly, but some people easily missed that by the way he always acted. “You must be Rose right? I uh…I know you don’t know me or anything but I have been looking for you. I got something important to tell you. Do you mind if I come in?”

Rose really had no idea what to be expecting today. To her it seemed like an ordinary day, but of course, when things got too normal, there was always something that caught her off guard. And this visit for her would certainly catch her off guard.
She really had no idea what to make of this man. He seemed...well, odd. First off, that mask of his was almost a little off putting, and it made her a little wary of him. Her mind instantly went into crazy paranoid mode and thought of the young man as some psycho killer who wore horse masks to hide his face. But, she quickly comforted herself. After all, what was the worst thing this guy could do to her? Sure, maybe he could get a couple hits on her, but he would instantly be countered by not only herself, but no doubt Weylyn would instantly come to the rescue as well, or even Arganok. There...nothing to worry about.
The man seemed friendly enough, and it was only right to be friendly and polite back right? He extended his hand towards her, offering to shake her hand. Rose grabbed his hand and shook it firmly and smiled. "Well, hello Spoon. It's certainly nice to meet you as well." Spoon? What an odd name. No doubt a nickname, but an odd one all the same. Still, she shouldn't be judging, not with all the crazy names that are often heard in this household. Rose had been about to introduce herself, but Spoon already seemed to know who she was. She furrowed her brows in confusion. "Yes I am Rose...how do you know me? And how did you get this address?" Ok, now she was back on red alert. Who was he? His voice didn't sound familiar, nor did the strange name of his. And what could he possibly want with her? Rose had kept fairly quiet under the radar for quite a while now. She hadn't stirred any problems with any humans or supernaturals in a very long time, nor made P.I.D.A look in her general direction in the last couple years. Oh God, unless she did do something without knowing...but no, Arg certainly would have made sure P.I.D.A. wouldn't head there way, seeing as he was an agent as well...unless Weylyn did something? Oh God what was Spoon saying? Important news?
"News? Um...yeah, sure come on in then if you like." Rose said, forcing her voice to be as level as possible. She was nervous about what sort of news this man was bringing her. Rose turned and walked towards the dining room and she stood a little awkwardly by the table. "Have a seat if you like Spoon. Do you want something to drink or anything?" She asked, placing her smile back on her face while trying to calm her inner turmoil.

Leave it to Spoon to make an awkward entrance and not even notice it. The young agent had always been a strange man even before he joined the PIDA. This was just another example of his strangeness. Here he was introducing to someone he had never met before, to give them a message from a mutual friend of theirs, but hadn’t bothered to figure out what to say which only made this awkward. It didn’t help that he practically barged into this lady’s house wearing a mask. Anyone with half a brain might suspect that he was some kind of thief or worse, most would have slammed the door in his face. But did he think about that before he came here? Hell no. Thinking about things was for chumps. Spoon was not a chump, he didn’t need to think. The moment that Rose started talking to him Spoon found himself liking the woman. She seemed pretty nice and friendly, just what he expected from a friend of Akeelah’s. He was already thinking about trying to get to know her and even hanging out with her sometime after he shook her hand.
The man failed to notice the subtle change in attitude when he let it slip that he already knew who she was. When she started asking him how he knew her and how he knew where he lived he just chuckled. “Don’t worry about it, I’ll explain it later. It’s a part of the news I got for you!” He replied. It was probably going to take him awhile to answer that question. After all, he would have to tell her who gave him that information, and right after that explain how he came to met that person. Rose seemed a little confused at first but eventually she let him inside. “Thanks.” The man said cheerfully and stepped inside the house. “Wow, nice place you got here.” He said as he looked around the house. Rose’s house looked just as big inside as it did outside. It even felt bigger than the place he lived in. Though that could have been from the fact that not as many people lived under one roof here like they did in his place.
He was so busy admiring Rose’s place that he almost didn’t hear her asking him if he wanted anything. “Huh?...oh um, no thanks I am not really thirsty.” He followed the young woman and sat down in the seat she offered him. “You might want to sit down for this. I don’t have anything bad to say but it might take awhile to explain…I think.” Spoon waited for Rose to respond while he thought of something to say. Now how the hell was he supposed to start this? “I uh…guess I should start by answering your question.” He mumbled. “The reason I know who you are and where you live is from your friend Akeelah. She asked me to find you and tell you that she is fine, that she’s sorry that she suddenly disappeared on ya…and wanted to know how you were doing and all that stuff.” God he hoped he was doing this right.
